You'll all know his music even if you didn't know his name.

Anyone remember a very funny sketch by Spitting Image on dear old Ronnie? They portraied him as a sort of Andrew Lloyd Webber performing his "Requium" which funnily enough sounded like a combo of Two Ronnies/AYBS/LOTSW etc...... Clever.

Now he was worthy of a mention. The godfather of satire.

Well, it's Charlton Life. They will have heard of Blankty Blank but not TW3 ; - )
  • I think that it's harsh to suggest that Ronnie Hazelhurst's death isn't worth of a mention. Personally i think it would be more appropriate just to ignore the thread rather than be disrespectful.

He was brilliant in his field!

    RIP

Absolutely right. Despite the genius of Ronnie Barker I'm sure those musical inserts in the 2 Ronnies wouldn't have been quite the same without Ronnie Hazlehurst, and tired though the series may be the Last of the Summer Wine benefitted from that atmospheric music.

I met him on a couple of occasions and a gentleman he was too. Shame about him being a Lancastrian but we can't all be winners in life's great lottery!
