    and it is south east london hence SE7. south london fits better but south east london also works if you miss out the oh before south london

    so instead of singing 'oh south london, is wonderful....' we should be singing 'oh s.e.7, is football heaven...its where you'll find the charlton and the valley'

    I've got Stuart Leary's contract from 1956 and on the front page the agreement is between "Charlton Athletic, SE7 in the count of Kent"

    Well when people ask me where I'm from I always say sarf London.....but as someone mentioned the clue is in the postcode
