Maybe, maybe not. The fact is that there are clubs around with cash to burn. That's why it winds me up when people complain that we have been slow in getting off the mark with players. We may have been after him, got to a very advanced stage when along comes some weird looking motor racing bloke and an Eastern European cash monster, and slam their wad on the table and nick the players from under our noses. Lets hope he's crap for them.
Bernie Ecclestone and Flavio Briatore have sold a 20% stake in QPR to Lakshmi Mittal who apparently is worth some $50 bn, I think in years to come they'll be beating us and a lot of other clubs to a lot of players.
4 and a half years, four and a half for One Size as well. They must have money to burn. Wouldn't be so bad if they were actually buying decent players.
Whose to say we were after him in the first place.
QPR were always the most likely to sign him as he's been on loan there for three months and with the extra cash they now have, yes they can sign players permantly rather than loaning in.
Then again we all know how hard it is to get a load of new players to gel quickly.
