I'm trying think of a winger who could cross a ball well over the years and I'm struggling. I can think of some full backs but after Sam Lawrie who has been consistently good. How long before Len Glover replies?

COLIN POWELL. He could cross the ball from one side of the pitch to ther other without backlift. It may sound easy, try it!!!!0
-
Richard Rufus was the best guy with crosses0
-
Andy Todd got quite cross once or twice.. Deano, Deano..
:)0 -
Tony Towner, Martin Robinson, Carl Harris ? Err I am joking of course Robert Lee wasn't Bad though.0
-
Often played supposedly wide, Graham Stuart could put a very good ball in as well0
-
I thought I would beat Len to it!
Lenny Glover was a great winger and a superb crosser of the ball!
He was my favourite player when I was a kid.0 -
Mark Robson was pretty decent.
Used to love John Salako's crosses as well. He'd try from wherever he was on the pitch. Half way line? Doesn't matter, cross it!!0 -
When Robson and Robinson played together, swapped wings etc it was great.0

thats got to go into "best sporting moments" thread. it was so funny and the chorus of "Hughesy" after was brilliant0
-
Of course, Mike Kenning could speed past the full backs, but the crosses were a bit random. Bob Curtis could always knock in a good ball. Now, what about Ralph Milne?0
-
I never saw Len Glover play. Keefy Peacock was an excellent crosser, both when he played as a winger and then from midfield positions. Powell was good as well0
-
Two full-backs spring to mind for me. Johnny Humphrey and Sir Chris Powell.0
-
Colin Walsh.0

Good call - Colin Walsh is a good choice0
-
Ooh aah Mortimer0
-
What happened with Hughes' corner, I never saw any footage?0
-
It went straight out of play after about 3 yards!0

Briliant,
Came over to take a corner in front of the north-east quadrant- got a round of applause, think he clapped back, put the ball on the D went to take it, must have slipped a bit, (but not much) as he took it and the ball just went behind for a goal kick to shouts of "Hughsie- Hughsie"
Very very funny.0 -

-

-

In my era its gotta be Di Canio. In fact, he's probably the best player we've had down here in my time too.0
-
Robert Lee was good, Graham Stuart was pretty accurate Paulo was sublime.
Johnny umph was one of the better full backs at crossing we've had.
Bowyer whipped a ball in well too0 -
John Barnes in his brief spell took a nice corner.0
-
well it wasn't feckin Rommendahl was it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0
-
easy - Colin Walsh0

Not quite on topic - but best crosser who we've played AGAINST this season:
Chris Brunt at West Brom .....we've conceded goals from 3 of his pinpoint crosses.0
