So if we bought Darren Bent for £13m now - would we only need to stump up £1m

edited February 2008 in General Charlton
seeing as Spurs still owe us most of the money

So theoretically we could do this right

Why don't we?

No because we have already sold Spurs' debt on, so we'd have to Stump up 13m, then you also need to take into account the money we had to pay to Ipswich.

I dont think Spurs owe us any money. I thought at the AGM RM said We took a slightly lower amount to speed up the payment process which I took to mean it was done and dusted.

So how much was Bent sold for then? If the amount was only "slightly lower" how would it make that much difference?

What I meant is they have already paid the full total. So after paying ipswich |I think we received 11.3m

So the final fee for Dazza was probably around £15.5 and we've sacrificed about £1 million for essential cash flow.

Sometimes you have to do, what you have to do .........

The mechanism is academic - had it, spent it, forget it it's history now.
