"Graham Poll departed here with a police escort at his side and the locals' abuse ringing in his ears, a legacy of his decision to dismiss James McFadden after 19 minutes for foul and abusive language.
McFadden denied calling Poll "a f*cking cheat" after a failed penalty appeal when Andrew Johnson tumbled in a tangle with Philippe Senderos. "As I ran back I've said to him [Poll]: 'That's f*cking shite'," insisted the Scotland international. "I've been sent off for it.""
Can somebody please explain how "f*cking shite" is not Foul and abusive language... or are football players really as stupid as they make out?!

You're totally right but I think the difference is that what he claims to have said is only a yellow card where accusing a ref of cheating is deemed more serious and gets a straight.
Considering it was Graham Poll reffing, either would have been a fair comment!
matt holland would still be on though ! i doubt he even knows any swear words...
He'd play a maximum of 4 minutes and get a straight red. Would probably only play a cumulative 45 mins over a season!
Utter rubbish. I once heard him calling an oppo player a rotten bum bum after he was fouled
