Well done Pards. I owe you an apology. You have turned things round since last week, and obviously rebuilt some team spirit and belief. You are the best man for the job right now and I will get behind you through to the end of the season -and hopefully beyond.

(I could have hidden this away on the back of another thread, but felt it should rightly be more public than that.)

Roll on Tuesday. Onwards and upwards.

Feels like we're becoming another Tottenham. Listening to 909 over the last few years, they were so predictable - Santini/Jol etc out when lost, and after a win he was the man to take them into the top 4 and Europe!

You can't keep slamming him then apologising! I reckon we've got a couple more defeats still to come this seasons.

agree morts let's see where we are after the following fixtures

    BRISTOL CITY (H) PRESTON (H) BURNLEY (A) IPSWICH (A) WEST BROM (H) WOLVES (H)

gotta say these next six will see us as automatic candidates,or fighting for a play off position PWOPA SIX POINTERS COMIN UP.

    Exactly right Friend or Defoe.

Does make me laugh this board sometimes.

Same old people coming on here moaning after a defeat, same old people coming on here after a win saying everything is rosy.

First must win match of the season on Tuesday, a win against them followed up by what should be a routine win against Preston and then I can forgive the shocking tactics, performance and lack of pride that I saw at Blackpool and Scunthorpe.

As said many times before, i don't know whether its a product of how football / media is today, but people are simply far too reactionary now days. Defeat is seen as world's end, while one win is seen as championship winning form.

One thing a certain ex-manager used to say was not let the highs be too high and the lows too low, and its even more apt nowadays.

We need to start looking at things over a long-term picture and not just in reaction to every game, IMO.

spot on. I always agreed with Jimmy Seed when he said that.

Is that the same Preston that got a draw at Watford then beat Stoke?
Scunthorpe, Barnsley, Plymouth, Burnley, Colchester, QPR. All of those were apparently routine home wins. There is no such thing in this division. Every game is a battle.

It's impossible to win on this site isn't it? I admitted in the original thread at the time and have mentioned it several times since that, yes, I did over-react after the Colchester match, though if anyone is sad enough to look back through old posts on here (and I hope no-one is...) you would see that it didn't come out of the blue - my concerns had been building up, and that match was a last straw at the time.

So in the spirit of 'let's all be positive and get behind the team, the club, the manager as it might make all the difference in the run in' that prevailed on this site last week with hugs and love all around, I voted for a Charlton win on the Sheff U poll and made a comment that if we did win, I would apologise to Pards as he had also just apologised to fans for Blackpool.

So all I've done here is what I said I was going to do, having listened to all you lot! And what thanks do I get??? Is it because I'm a woman? Is it because I'm not one of the clique? Is it because I live a long way away in some strange city most of you are scared of? What is it that you lot just don't get about me? ;-))

Ignore it Weegie, i'm one of the clique i think. I was going to post earlier because i didnt think there was any need to dig people (yes you Curious George...) out for admitting they were "wrong".

I don't mind a little bit of pee taking but i did get the impression it was more "ha ha ha, you were wrong" rather than any tongue in cheek comments.

I like people like you Weeg because you are (wo)man enough to come on and praise the team after a decent win. Its the people that only post negative posts and/or only post after we have lost that get people's backs up. Well done to Reams as well.

Lets all chill out and enjoy this winning run. ;-)
