This could be a good topic for a Friday afternoon...at least it doesn't involve food.
There have been some great cover versions of other musician's music, and some that stunk, so name a good cover version and a bad cover version...

Well, the classic good has to be Hendrix' version of All Along The Watch Tower. For bad, dunno, Madonna's American Pie was pretty painful.
Also, not strictly a cover version but the U2 and Mary J Blige version of One - why?
