when you look at it

edited March 2008 in General Charlton
For a team who were favorites to go up only 2 wins in the last ten games is rubbish. Lets hope we can now turn that around with a vital win against wba.

If you look at our last 20 games, starting with the 4-1 defeat away to WBA on December 15th, our record is Won 4, Drawn 8, Lost 8. That includes the 2 cup games with WBA, who are a Championship team.

You have to conclude that that is a really terrible run of form & would actually end in us being relegated to Division 1 if continued over a whole season. Can anybody honestly see that form being turned round sufficiently for us to claim a play-off place this year?

Just seen the form guide for the last six games in the championship, and only Colchester have a worse record than us and they're bottom.

It's not looking good - Like many posters I've long given up hope of anything happening this season.
I'm just praying that Pardew (or whoever) can make the necessary changes in the close season to make us a more aggressive outfit next season. We are just too lightweight in all departments and the "we are going to play our way out of the division" attitude that we were hearing all season IMHO was completely the wrong one given the nature of this league and the other teams in it.
But at least we aren't facing relegation again (yet!), lets just hope they can turn it around for next season!
