Building help required

I am wanting to tile the porch floor but it slopes so I want to make it level first. So a)self-levelling compound, does it really do as it suggests? or b)sand and cement mix. Thoughts please ?

Self levelling does what it says on the tin. If slope is big, better to put a bit of muck down first to even it out a bit.
  • about 6ft by 3ft, that Large enough ???

    Sorry, mate. Just playing. ;o)
  • depends on the slope and the gradiant.

self leveling stuff does the job if you are ironing out a small one but as guiness says, major leveling- use " muck"
  • I can recommend a good builder, if you need one.

no but thanks. 'Slope' isn't too bad, just wanted to know if self-levelling compound would do the job.
