Charlton Athletic manager Alan Pardew is keeping tabs on Reading winger Bobby Convey. The 24 year old America who has been unable to nail down a first team spot since returning from injury has put several championship clubs on alert. Under fire Pardew is keen on trying to secure Convey on a loan move for next season and hopes he can beat rivals for his signature due to his good relationship with Reading, Convey who is is partially blind in his left eye due to optic nerve damage is keen on a loan move to get first team football is keen on a move, Watford and Fulham are also monitoring the situation closely

Top stuff a partially blind winger...mind you we did have a striker that was allergic to grass....Jimmy Melrose.

Robert Lee wore, and sometimes lost, his contact lenses.

I thought he was a decent player and if we are going to loan players then doing it for the whole season makes more sense but as Reading don't know which division they will be in next year this seems like a bit of a flyer.
