If ur intrested in history or social history The Old Bailey was a web site now open. You can look at trials from 1600s to 1913. Just put my surname in and one trial came up 8 death sentances, 4 branded and 36 transported two with my surname. date 1700s.

    That is quite scary, my dads family come from Islington/Highbury originally, just put the family name in there and it comes up with some thief stealing cows and horses from my family name in the Islington/Highbury area in 1742...wow, I wonder.
