Lookout and AFKA started this site nearly 2 years ago, at that time, they paid for it out of there own pockets and i have no reason to think anything has changed.

Kimbo, as you can see there is basically no advertising or sponsorship on here compared to other fan sites. We've tried to keep pages 'clean' for as long as we can.

Since its began though costs have increased greatly, largely due to its popularlity we've had to upgrade to larger, dedicated servers, pay for tech admin support to react to network outages and secure the servers, and hire individual geeks to correct issues with the forum.

In summary, the financial support is not going to be able to stay in-house for very much longer, and we'll soon have to consider other ways to try and fill the costs. Me or Lookout will let you all know when we have anything worth mentioning.

Are you going to get taken over by a Russian billionaire then?
  • I saw Bill Gates coming out of a Bemudan hotel. He told the press he had not met Lookout of AFKA.

Later Skynews reported that he held discussions but no contract had been discussed.

I'd be happy to pay a small subscription to pay towards the cost. Frankly I didn't even consider that this was costing AFKA/Lookout anything to run. AFKA must be richer than he looks !

Seriously - it's best done on a donation basis, otherwise you'll get no new members.

You'll be surprised how many of us will donate - though if you get any money out of IMissThePeanutMan you'll be lucky.
