first i drove was a 1.0 peugeot 106 "champion" that just about got us to college every day with a bit of persuasion, in fact, it may have been under 1.0!
first car i actually bought was a 1.6 ford focus.
dont have a car now. :-(

Only learnt to drive 5 years ago. First car I drove was the blue Corsa the wife drove at the time.
  • my first car was a fiat panda 1.0l, shoddy build quality, terrible gearbox, an all-round shocking car, but will always hold a special place in my heart.

then i had a peugeot 205 "junior", that was definitely less than 1.0l, but it had go-faster stripes which made all the difference...well downhill it did

If memory serves me right it was a silver Ford Orion 1.6GL. Quite a pokey little number as I recall without the ridiculous XR3i insurance costs despite having the same engine. I think it was a 1986/C plate.
  • a nova 1.2.. then upgraded to a Nova GTE (my boy racer years!) loved that car

An 8yr old chocolate brown 1.0 mk1 Metro City (the cheapie bottom of the range model). It had been imported from Ireland so was even more susceptible to rust than one that had lived in the UK it's whole life!
  • A white 205 GTi 1.9.....

Bought it from my middle aged neighbour for £1000 (with only 7k on the clock) and ended up paying £1500 a year 3rd party!

Had it retuned, put a dump valve on it and a new exhaust system that gave me about 10% extra BHP

Used to love thrashing the pants off XR2is and 3is, Renault 19 16vs, Golf GTis..........And even once did a Porsche up Welling High Street at about 3am on the way back from T's in Erith.

    Proper boy racer!

A tahiti blue Mini 1000, like a go-kart, never actually broke down but had all sorts of electrical problems, and I understand the wiring loom went up in flames shortly after selling it.

My first car was a present from my late great sister, a fiat uno 1.0 i.e. Great car! I remember when i part exed it for a chincwachento (or however you spell it) a few years later it was broken down wouldnt start in the car park of the guy earl of warwick where i used to drink always, me, my old man and uncle pushed it accross the road to san siro fiat dealer, left it in a space ( it wouldnt even start) and drove out in my new car! Because they had already valued it, they just asked where it was parked and didnt want to see it, and that was that! quality

My current cars are the 12th and 13th I've owned. I can remember all the registration numbers. In fact I can remember all my wife's registration numbers since she started driving a Herald I got her (SGN 201F) and the ones by parents owned all the way back to a 1963 Anglia, which was LOU 643 until I left home (you'd probably get about £5k for that number plate now).

Haven't got a clue what my mobile number is though.
