On The Bus

was standing at front of bus this morning next to a black lady who i thought at first was a ticket inspector. However was wasnt she was giving instruction to the driver who must have been new. She says to him as one stage " Kids are difficult, some show their passes and some dont. I used to always challenge em.,f they didnt show their pass i wasnt having no crap on my bus !" im thinking good on u love when she goes on to say to him " mind you i dont recomend you get out of the cabin like i did , as i got threatened with a knife three times" !!!!! FFS, not sure what areas she was talking about but this was on the 89.

  • happens all over mate kids are out of control in most areas even so called decent areas
  • I had to fill out one of those survey things on the bus the other day, about where you started your journey, where you were going etc, and it surprised me how many people said they didn't want to fill it in or were disgruntled when they were asked to fill it in. Do they think that the bus system is perfect? I felt like taking it off them and filling it in again for them. They'll be the first to complain if their bus was late or they needed more frequent buses, or to feel safer on them. it took about 3 mins to fill it out, hardly an inconvenience.

since easter a lot more drivers have been refusing to let kids on that look 15ish if they havent got a pass. one kid refused to get off, so he turned the engine off, till he 'found' a quid in his pocket and paid to get on. surely its not that hard for them to get passes? I beleive all kids should have passes regardless of age, they swipe, they come up 'free' etc. why should a 90 yr old have to swipe their freedom pass but a 15 yr old oik walk on without an iota of concern.

Anyway, buying a car on Saturday so, tomorrow is my last day of slumming it.
  • I worked for stagecoach out of plumstead for a year, had to give up in the end altho the money was amazing just couldnt handle the grief, smashed window fighting smoking, i got spat at had bricks thrown at my bus in abbeywood just god damm awful. what has gone so wrong with the world today? im 28 and i reckon we were the last generation of good kids, we used to get excited if we saw a fire engine not pelt them with bricks and smash there trucks up, my mate is LFF and some of the stories he tells me are horrific, just would love it if the kids who target Police Ambulences and police cars really needed there help one time and they just said u know what jog on.. giving all kids under the age of 16 free travel was one of Kens worst plans if the feckkers had to pay maybe they would think twice! i just dont think there is a cure, when u travel around the world there is the same problem with single parents and unemployment but no where near the leval of disrepect we have. One of the causes has to be from an early age all kids are just not put right when they start to go off the wall, i was no angel as a kid if i did wrong boy i knew about it! we dont need to teach citizenship in school or human rights we need to teach Respect. god i sound like a daily mail reader!! thankgod we going for a beer tonight!!
  • I was on a 51 a couple of years back and kids kicked the windows in
    on the way to Opington

Also on a 244 from Woolwich to Abbey Wood the window was shot at drivers aid sorry to us and put his foot down we skipped Thamesmead
  • all kids 11-16 have to have a photocard oyster from 1st June for buses now and parents have to sign that they accept full responsibility for any misbehaviour. If they do they lose the photocard and the free bus enttitlement which is bloody right.
  • The N89 can be a pretty dodgy ride home I must say.

Although last week as the bus was pulling away in blackheath some lady just missed the bus and smacked the window, the driver jumped out and she pegged it, he screamed after her using some rather unacceptable names, pretty brave/stupid if you ask me.

    great news.
  • Thats if the drivers ask em to show the passes. If you was a driver and 10 x 14 yo yoofs got on the bus would you ask em to show their passes? Press the panic alarm when threatened then wait an hour to OB show up ?

Other night this yoof walks straight to front of que gets on bus. I was steaming, but said nothing. He gets off same stop as me. So if i had pulled him (and i have in past) would he have said nothing and gone to back of the que ? given me some mouth or would it have gone off ?

What id like is for 4/5 herbert types to be standing in a line and then some of these yoofs walk to the front of the que, tthen we kick the crap out of em ! Wrong wrong wrong wrong but doing nothing is just doing nothing. Standing in a que is an old long gone British tradition.
  • of course that goes without saying but those types will be caught eventually.

  • Just get on the bus, forget about us, put the blame on me...........
  • Chiry dont you just love that 149 ?

have you met the "shorts man" or "Mr farter" or " The Bible Lady ?" if she sings "Thank you Jesus" one more f**kin time she is going to see him !
  • Ah god bless the N89

Was heading back from the Venue one night with my box of Morley's chicken on the top floor of the bus at the very back. I must have been the only white person on the bus but it didnt bother me in the slightest. I think I was so drunk I was offering my chips to everyone. So all was calm.

Bus pulls into Lewisham and these two white guys get on.

They come straight upstairs, pull two knives out and scream "come on then you n*****s, who wants some?"

For my own safety, I dived under the seat as the 15-20 or so black guys sitting around me went straight for the two white guys with anything they could get hold of. The "fight" went on for a good 10-15mins but everyone ran for it when they could see the blue lights coming down the road.

I have never been so scared in my whole life. The bus was wrecked upstairs. Windows had been put it, one of the metal rails has been ripped off and I've never seen a puddle of blood like it. Whoever has been stabbed, which is clearly looked the result of, must have been in serious trouble.

    I haven't got the N89 since!

  • Mate i dont blame you. Im waiting for the sign "live stock on top of bus" to be put up !

Shorts Man is the single most hair raising , spin chilling thing i have ever seen. Truely truely should be in Broadmore. sat oposite the guy once -- of course there was seats there and around him all the others new it was Shorts Man ! 30 stone min 6/6ish in his 20z laughs like a hyena every few seconds or growls and dribbels. His shorts are about a size 34 waste on him and his shirt(such as there is) is 10 sizes to small. I just sat there thinkin " this guy is going off any second and yourthe nearest to him". Seen him 3 times in same clothes and there is always many vacant seats round him.

  • Would it be so difficult to get a few plain clothes coppers on the bus and nick the scum bags in the act?
  • Well done Henry.

  • It's wierd isn't it. I wouldn't be at all offended by someone calling me white or any variation of it. I usually draw the line at c**t though.

  • The UK should adopt the North American system.

    Simply don't have public transport!
  • Oakster mate you only 3 men and a moose there. (we have a few mooses mind u)
  • I saw a 149 bendy bus get hit by an open-top sightseeing tour bus on London Bridge last night. Blocked both lanes of the bridge going southbound. Most of the people on the 149 didn't even move as it was so packed!
  • Wilma if it was after dark, possibly all the peeps on the 149 were the "undead" anyway.
Only time you see people move at any speed, or i get a seat is when a ticket inspector gets on. They are like some Tolken wizard they get on and bing the bus is empty !

True. Inspectors got on 25 the other day with police escort. Some guy tried to make a run for it and two police took him out by the legs mid sprint.
