To all DLR users

edited May 2008 in Match Day Travel
Whilst not wishing to look/sound like a train spotter, I saw a poster about this on the platform at South Quay the other day and thought I'd pass it on:

Early warning of planned DLR engineering works.
Lewisham to Crossharbour
From 30th June to 25th August, services will be reduced to every 10 minutes during the morning rush hour which means that trains will get very overcrowded.
There will be no direct service from Lewisham to Bank, instead two separate services will run: Lewisham to Island Gardens, and Island Gardens to Bank, with both routes running every ten minutes.
Trains between Crossharbour and Bank will run every five minutes during the rush, and every ten minutes off-peak. The DLR warns that during construction work, some stations may have to shut temporarily.

Alternatives
Southeastern trains run into London Bridge from Greenwich and Lewisham and there is the Jubilee line between London Bridge and Canary Wharf.
There will be four bus routes laid on by the DLR during the peak, 06.30-10.30 BST and 15.30-21.00 BST:
DLR1 - Island Gardens to Canary Wharf
DLR2 - Lewisham to Cutty Sark
DLR3 - Greenwich to North Greenwich (express)
DLR4 - Lewisham to North Greenwich (express)
