Thats a good point Vancouver, but to see people from so far away moaning bout Barmy Boris after one month is a joke.
By the way the point was made right up in the post by AFKA not me.
I always find it strange in politics that you can have any opinion as long as you agree with the left wing or socialists if you dont u cant have one .
The Tories never really expected to win the London mayor race or they would have put up a better candidate. The fact that barmy Borris won shows how much people wanted Red Ken out not that they wanted a Tory in.

Fair enough GH - Afka my post is directed at you as well ;0)
I hate this left vs right crap - The party system has us all by the balls - Realistically until we get away from party politics I can't see much getting done.

I wont normally comment on politics, as a subject it`s there along with sex as something I know nothing about, but I have to agree with that statement Mr GH.
[quote][cite]Posted By: Goonerhater[/cite]The problem(if it is one) is that only the leading parties have a chance of wining and thats just the two.
To small a majority in h of Commons and f all gets done, to big and you end up with that parties ideology rammed through regardless.
Its often said but it is true "democracy isnt very good but its better that the alternative".[/quote]
That would be
"Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all those other forms that have been tried from time to time."
Although the author went to Harrow not Eton so that would explain his Liberal attitudes (apart from the machine gunning Trade Unionist if they didn't go back to work)
I'm glad to hear that people living abroad will be banned from commenting on UK politics and social issues on Charlton life.
[cite]Posted By: Goonerhater[/cite]Yes just a tad. I mean dear old Ken never put a foot wrong in nine years did he.
BFR you would know that phrase living in Germany wouldnt you . If your so concerned about London politics come back and live here.
If I understand a few recent posts/threads you are thinking of leaving the UK. If so will you continue to comment on say London matters when you no longer live there? Somehow I think you'll continue to be as verbose as you are now, except of course with a good measure of hypocrisy thrown in...
Please feel free to tell me how i will be feeling and acting in a few years BFR. Add abit more condesending bollo* in next time i do so miss it.
Black Forest aint that where wild bores live ?
Vor Sprung Dork Technic as they say in Kidbrooke. Dork noooooooooooooooo please tell me what that means mate im sure you would know.
henry please feel free to direct your coments at me and miss the fact it was AFKA who said that at the top of the thread(6th down if you missed it). Dont worry i will let you know in good time when im off.
Ormiston for gods sake mate, Boris is being entirely miss quoted,he never said that teaching Latin alone would stop knife crime but some things systematic with learning and education 'such as' learning Latin might just be an answer. The Sun ran with it and 'cherry picked' his comments and as per normal quoted them out of context to make a nonsensical headline grabbing story that readers such as yourself want to believe. So what's new Ormiston, other than you believing what the The Sun has to say, surely you know better than that?

Didn't miss that at all. And How could I miss that you might be about to become an immigrant. You've only mentioned it one or two (hundred) times.
I think perhaps you missed the : - ) at the end of my post but never mind. That's typical of you and your PC leftie mates. No sense of humour
I live about 10 miles from the outer ring of Central London so couldnt possibly comment on London politics and life in that dark place.
I visit it occasionally on about 23 times a year (maybe more if cup runs allow) and am only required to present documentation of my membership of a small but internationally recognised sports club. However a significant proportion of my net disposable income is spent in the vicinity.
I do however hold in high regard those that have the power to influence politics in the region.
