Lunch

edited November 2006 in General Charlton
Funny how you wait and look forward to it all morning and then when the time comes you scoff it down in seconds and it's all gone for another day, leaving you only hours more at work and the (mental) "home-time bell" to look forward to!!!

(and no, I haven't been drinking!)

  • Speaking of Lunch does anyone have the full hour anymore? I mean I know we are all legally allowed it does anyone actually take it?

I have the 10-20 minutes it takes to have my sandwiches & read the Sun from cover to cover.
  • I have, two pints and I'm anyones..
  • I normally have the time it takes me to go to the Sainsbury's over the road and back (about 5 mins). I always end up answerring the phone and reading emails whilst i'm actually eating, so that can't really count.

The bloke opposite who works for me ALWAYS takes his hour, which really f*cking annoys me when I'm under the cosh, getting in early/going home late and he just gets up and strolls out! Still, who's the silly one, eh?!
  • I always try and take the full hour.... why shouldnt I? It's not like I'm getting paid to work during it....!
  • I had a 5 hour lunch yesterday, spent the whole afternoon/evening in the pub, feeling it today so went cafe for lunch.
Liver, bacon, boiled potato's, cabbage and gravy washed down with a cup of tea.
    Beautiful.
  • I always try to fit in Legs, bums and tums .....
  • I take the full hour from half 1, go home, have some lunch, put me feet up, go back at half 2, make a cuppa its 3, then its nearly home time! Goes so quick my work! One day i am gonna be 50 or something stoopid and i am gonna wonder where my life has gone!
