ExxonMobil has 28 pages of A4 of acranims(sic) as in :

I was TSM for GREF in UKIaME, GIS wasnt part of GREF and both GREF and GIS had to conform to both OIMS and CIMS. JC were also part of GREF and looked after both DS and UP at StC and LtHd.

When i had a new Facilities Manager with me i used to tell em anything you dont understand make a note i`ll explain later. As people did talk like that at meetings. by the time you thought "wot the f**k does that mean" they were onto the next topic.

Play TLA (three letter acronym) bingo in meetings.

Do a grid and first one to get a line wins.

Good things to throw in to confuse people are

    "Lets think outside the triangle"

"lets not re-invent the internal combustion engine"

    and

    "It is rocket science"

Technically ETCYT etc are acronyms rather than abbreviations.

On a point of order rocketry is engineering not a science at all.

But there is a element of science to Rocketry. Physical motion, e=MC2 and all that.

Of course Einstein got it wrong. The speed of light isn't constant :)
