Girls in football

I was DJ'ing at a youngsters football presentation last night (an under 12 team) and apparently one of their star players was a girl. According to FA rules girls are allowed to play in boys football up to the age of 12 only. They gave her a special award for her services to the team and seemed genuinley sad that she couldn't carry on. I don't suppose she is to bothered though West Ham ladies have just signed her!
