  • Saw them at the Hammersmith Odeon in the 80's. They were fantastic
  • Just read that Bruce Dickinson is undergoing cancer treatment. I hope he's OK.

Talented bloke: singer, song writer, pilot, brewer.

World class fencer too, so I believe?

  • Never been his biggest fan as a person, but of course wish him well being the metal legend that he is. I believe they are very confident that he is going to recover and they'v e fortunately caught it at a 'good' stage.
  • Used to see them for 50p back in the day. Top band.

Nope, company that maintains the PA system at the Valley supplies the sound system to Maiden. MLexecs from Crayford.

My youngest is mad for them and he'll be going.

I actually went with him to see them at the O2 I guess about 15 years ago and they were very good indeed, even though it's not really my genre of choice.
  • Last saw them at Donnington in 92.  Mad that they are still travelling the world selling out huge venues and delivering brilliant shows.

Technically I've never been to see Iron Maiden.

I have, however, seen "The Nodding Donkeys" in 1992 at the old Oval Rock House on the Dereham Road in Costessey, just outside Norwich.

I was at UEA at the time and a friend of mine asked if I wanted to come see an Iron Maiden tribute act at the Oval. Yeah, why not. I don't know if he'd got wind of this beforehand but it was actually a warm-up gig ahead of their appearance at Donnington. The Oval was run by a friend of Maiden's, one of their former roadies, and my friend played a few gigs there with his own death metal band so may have had inside sources!
  • Never seen them live, and it seems that that will continue unless they 'come North' sometime soon

They're also playing in Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow - so that covers plenty of bases.
