  • Can't argue about his song writing skills etc, but for me personally I find his songs too long! I think it took about 8 100 mile round trips to the Valley to get through the greatest hits album!

I was thinking the same with David Bowie.
    Space Oddysey 1968 approx - Let's Dance / China Girl 1981 approx = 13 years
    1981 to date = 31 years.

  • So pleased that just about everyone on here speaks well of him....he's an easy target to have a pop at.......but as has been said his ability as a musician, song writer and vocalist are top drawer. Seen him live quite a few times, going right back to the 60's as an unheard of. He did his apprentiship alright and his talent shone through.....and of course let's not forget the incredible talent of Bernie Taupin and his role all those years ago.
Rock on Elton old son.....rock on!
  • saw the docc on bbc4, i was aware of his early stuff being good but had only seen tantrums and tiaras his docc that made him look a right tit having watched the one on bbc4 give him alot more credit now thats for sure.
  • Thank God for Bernie, otherwise Reg would have struggled..IMHO
  • I've Seen That Movie Too
    All The Girl's Love Alice
    Tiny Dancer
Rocket Man (I Think Its Gonna Be A Long Long Time)

  • I've heard Elton John has split up from David Furnish.

Apparently Elton found out that his partner had been having sex behind his back.....
