I was v impressed with Hudson (my MOTM) and Forch looked fine alongside him. But seriously, what cover do we have? Perhaps we'll see plan B tonight, but talk of Semedo or Youga or Basey playing out of position there worries me, as does throwing in another youngster or two and expecting miracles of them. Somehow we need to get some experienced cover there. Whilst I agree centre mid eg Bailey is also a priority, we would be riding our luck far too much to rely on Hudson and Forch staying fit, unsuspended and in form for the whole of the season. We need at least two more for this position.

Is Cranie still an option or has he gone elsewhere?

I thought we might hear something about him now they've just got Kaboul in? Without doubt we need at least one centre-half in.

I suspect we are still trying to secure a Centre half and Central midfielder, but at the moment we have to cope.
  • If we can get Bailey, Cranie and Sodje in by the deadline, then we'll be doing ok

And plus Bouazza, that adds up to the 4 bods that Pards said he was trying to get in before the window shut.

I doubt we'll get three since we got that winger chappy from Fulham
  • Personally i think we'll definitely get one of Cranie and Sodje, simply because we HAVE to get another centre back. A higher bid for Bailey and a move for the other centre back may well depend on Faye and ZZ leaving.

Cranie was on the bench for Pompey in the Community Shield so he may no longer be available. However if they have signed yet another defender in Kaboul who knows.

Agree that while Hudson and Fortune looked good we need at least one if not two more defenders in. Two more CH will give us two players for each position at the back.

Think Powell might still come in on a free, as cover. I think whatever the solution it'll be very low cost.

Pards's comments about loans from the prem suggests to me that the Crainie deal is dead.
