Good time to be a blue manc at the moment.Money coming out of their ears and they're about to nib their hated neighbours big transfer target.

And to think they were playing Millwall a couple of seasons back!

    Until today they were running on debt secured against future income, now they are richer than Chelsea and have got rid of the corrupt piece of work that is Thaskin (who should never have been allowed to buy the club in the first place).

    The takeover is not yet done - think it has been discussed and they have an agreement of intent.
    Mind you according to BBC they are targetting Berba,David Villa and Mario Gomez and are saying they will qualify for Champs League 2009-10 season

    David Villa turned down Real Madrid and signed a new contract at Valencia last week so can't see him going to City.

    Not a bad time to be a City supporter, but maybe not a great time to be Mark Hughes.

    I think he's a good manager and, with a fair chance, could do a good job there, but what's the likelihood of the new owners wanting a big international 'name' in the not too distant future?

    Fair point but if he was sacked he'd have his contract paid and be very marketable so it wouldn't be to bad for him...
