Not exactly hard to spot the weak link in that bunch!
  • again- a demonstration of the financial gulf between the prem and chump

but just imagine if we were in that list and hadn't " gone for it"

    This board would be suicidal.....
  • I think theres your proof of the gulf there is now between premiership tv money and championship money. Stoke have spent almost 20m there, I worked out yesterday West Brom have spent over 20m, although i don't know what Hull have spent. And they'll still have money left over to spend in January.
  • And when they get relegated next May it will be interesting to see which of them go into Administration first!!
  • tom soares from palace is a quality signing and shafts them up as well to boot.

That could easily add up to the best part of £20 million - and it's more or less a complete team in itself.
  • Interesting to see Hull losr again last night. IF Blackburn win their game in hand Hull will be 4 points above safety and Stoke will be in the bottom 3.

West Brom, best team in the CCC last year, are bottom.

Personally I think this proves that Phil Brown was lucky to inherit a good side from the previous manager, whoever that was, but now it is all falling apart.

Blinding comment from Ledge on Soares above but top prize looks like going to Valley McMoist
  • I thank you
  • Funnily enough, even when Hull were going like a train afew months back, I still tipped them for relegation.
  • Their good start and now long run without a win reminds me of Charlton in 98/99 and look what happened to us.

Who else do we fancy on loan at Charlton .... ?

How about Dave Kitson up front, man mountain Sonko alongside Ward at the back. Any others ... ?
  • It all fell apart when Phil Brown started to believe his own hype and did a half time team talk in front of the away fans.

And there fans aren't doing themselves any favours either!!

  • west brom defo going down, stoke and hull for me aswell..
  • One of them will survive.

Not often all three newly promoted teams go down. Reckon Portsmouth could be the ones.
  • Boro .... ?
  • Would love to see Newcastle blow it and go down
  • As usual the relegation battle will be 100 times more interesting than the yawn fest at the top.

    My bottom three.....

18 - Boro (Southgate looks like Pardew pre Sheff Utd)
19 - Hull (on a very slippery slope)
20 - WBA (shame, I really like them)

Stoke's home form will keep them up and I will be delighted if they stay up.
  • I can't believe that West Brom are bottom and are getting criticised for playing proper football!

Check out the mall by the tigers chant if you've haven't seen it before!

  • West brom will surely go down. Boro don't score enough and Digard is out for the rest of the season. Then it's any 1 from about 5-6 sides. Hull, Stoke, pompey, blackburn, sunderland and newcastle. Spurs will have enough to get out of it. And perenial rubbish like Wigan and Fulham are doing well this season.

That's what they always used to say about plucky little Charlton in the Prem .......

    :o(
  • I think West Brom will go although they try to play football.

Hull still have a two win cushion and although they are not winning are picking up points eg Chelsea which should see them through just about. I'd like to see stoke survive but think they will narrowly go down with 'boro as the third team. Hermann seems determined not to relegate yet another team so Portsmouth may just have enough to survive.

But poor old Herman has NEVER stayed up in a relegation struggle.

    He's the Jonah. Pompey DOWN.
  • hope West Brom stay up, play good football and the boy they bought in during the transfer window (Fortune) could just be the man to score them the goals to survive. As for Stoke, any team that rely on a man with a long throw for their points does not deserve to be in the top tier of English football, I complete embarrassment to supposedly the best league in the world. Hate their style of playing and hope they go down. Same for Hull, lump it football and an arsehole manager (Brown) and skipper (Ashbee). To join them I hope Newcastle or Pompey...
