He is our captain, and leader on the pitch. The one we want to set the example that rubs off on the other players.

Tomorrow, he is going to get dogs abuse.

Lets make him know he's not alone, and we're with him all the way.

I'll give Paddy a clap. Don't think he wanted to go (don't blame him)

Not sure whether he will be starting. But I reckon he'll get a good reception, unless he scores...

Apart from the slight mistake on Saturday Hudson has been our best and most consistent player. Let's hope he has another great game tomorrow night?!
  • Great post AFKA, that one sentiment has got me all stirred up and ready for action, trouble is I can't do anything about it! Gutted I can't be there tomorrow. This is easily the longest I've been without getting to a Charlton match and I'm getting serious withdrawl symptoms now.

Hopefully I'll get a web link for the commentary but not sure I'll be able to stop myself shouting something out in the office!

Agreed AFKA. Not only Captain but along with Captain (No 2) Cleanshorts, and Nicky Weaver, our most consistant players this season.

Paddy had a spot on attitude, though.

When he was dropped for being crap, he didn't go banging on in the press, he just got on with it,

When Sodje got injured in the Mills match home to Hull after 20 mins, he came on and played his heart out.
And apart from a couple of cock-ups, and getting skinned for pace by Ebay-Blanks or whatever his name is, he never really let us down.

And he didn't want to leave. Pards had to practically push him through the door.

He was so slow he made Andy Gray seem like a whippet and had the turning circle of a Thames barge, but IMHO he earned his 2nd place Player of the Year.

GIve him a clap. He's a lad who wants to play rather than some Billy Big Bollox chasing wads of cash.

Nothing against Paddy at all, and he will get a polite clap from me. No more though.

Wasn't the point of the thread though. The point was that Hudson, our player, is going to get some serious stick tonight, and we should be prepared for it and ready to back him

Sorry about that AFKA ........ my specialist subject, taking the subsidary point and going off-topic.
It's a saying sorry day. I've already fecked up at work, lol

If Hudson gets a barrage of abuse from Nigels, that might well inspire him.
It's not that he still plays for them.

In 2 months with us he's earned his 'Rock' Hudson monica.
He left under a cloud and Colin Winker still keeps trying to wind him up.

I think Hudson will be inspired tonight.
