Agreed. 'El Gallo' was great for the Spanish national side as well - extremely underrated player in my opinion.0

I recall Tomassi doing this for Roma - he had an injury that was keeping him out and asked to be moved onto statutory minimum wage. Cristiano Lucarelli also turned down the chance to go to the top 4 side because he'd always wanted to play for his hometown side (Livorno) and took a huge hit in salary to do it.
Compare this with Fat Frank, demanding a £150k a week/5 year contract (how many burgers and roasts can one man need)?0 -
