Perhaps because i'm an old misery at the moment, or perhaps because i watched it over three nights, but i was actually a bit disappointed.
Do like Peter Kay, and was some good bits, but i think it would of benefited from being a lot more stupid, rather than make it real to life with subtle changes.
I didn't like the 2nd bit as much as the initial start of the show. the shock at the beginning was good, (two up two down) but it almost went on too long? but I think that was the point as x factor is probably only about 20 mins of new stuff and the rest is regurgitated crap anyway.
I liked when they walked out of shot, there was no where to go at the side of the stage. little touches like that made me chuckle.
The first half hour was as funny as anything I have seen for ages. That's not saying a lot being in Thailand though! Agree it went on too long after that. It also amused me when my girlfriend, said she liked The Winners Song which she was listening to but not actually watching (not quite Thai humour).
Those overseas will need a torrent facility to download this such as utorrent or Azureus (vuze) and as Oakster says it is easily found on www.thebox.bz (and that is the correct spelling).
Don't think I'll bother to download 'The Championship' this week though!
Saw Peter Kay @ O2 tonight. Brilliant. I love him. Like with the greats such as Morecombe and Cooper, I find myself laughing before he's even spoken. He's just nice and simple and down to earth and just makes you think that off stage he is a genuinely nice bloke.
Rik Astley opend the show and was good.
The O2 - How lucky are we to have such a fantastic venue in our doorstep? We left home at 7.20 parked up in the tube car park for £8 sat down at 7.40. Show finished at 10.15 and we were home at 10.35. Sod Wembley! If the stars won't come to the O2 then I won't see them.
Going again to O2 to see Jeff Waynes War of The Worlds on Dec 12, fantastic show, saw it last year, throughly reccomended. Angelos Epithemiou on 20th and maybe Squeeze on 9th Dec.
Saw him on his opening night on Thursday, took our 11 year old, she loved it. Hardly a swear word, the ones mention she has heard her mother used (:-0) not me. Thought the of the show was great. Ricky was very good also, forgotten how many songs he had and I knew.
Saw him on friday, absolutely brilliant,as has been mentioned, makes you laugh before he's even spoken. Unusually for todays comedians, hardly any swearing either. Will definitely be adding the dvd to my collection when it comes out.
Saw him Sunday, thought it was good but not brilliant. Probably more to the fact the O2 is just such a vast arena for comedy i struggle to really go with it without the intimacy. Wife thought it was hilarious.
Get what you mean about the O2 Chirps, its been such an addition to the local area. Parked in the station car park for £3, was out of the arena and back in Sidcup in 15 mins. No way would i go to Wembley for anything other than Charlton related now (don't laugh) as its just not worth the hassle.
The wife and I saw him Saturday night and I'd have to agree with what AFKA says, including the fact that the wife thought it was hilarious. I think he's at a crossroads - he needs to come up with something a bit different - mind you, he keeps extending this tour, so whilst that goes on I doubt he has the time to think.
And I agree with Chirpy - fantastic venue and we are lucky to have it on our doorstep. Having said that, it was our turn - all those year trudging over to Wembley!

.
We feel like that too, we do go and see bands outside of O2, but do always think twice now. Saying that going to see Tom Jones as Union Chapel on Monday, then Gorrilaz at O2 on Tuesday

I think you'll find it was Morecambe and Wise, not Morecombe and Cooper :-)

And i thought the ending was poor.

i found it OK - but the target was too easy, since when have any of these shows been remotely about musical talent?

Its repeated on Sunday 14th Dec. on Channel 4;
I still think that Geraldine looks like Peter Kay,
Are they related ?
