Think this Thread could be longer than NSS APRAWA one. Sorry for injecting humour into a suicidal thread, but think we have all gotta move on & prepare for the Relegation scrap ahead!
Lets face it we all knew it was too good to be true.
WE ARE CHARLTON SUPER CHARLTON.
So basically Zabeel are saying that they want to put there money into dubai (bollox they will buy everton) they don't want to be caught up in the debate about foreign ownership in football (as if the debate is gonna stop football going that way) and that cos the UK is fooked economically they aint interested. Aint the UK a great place to live!!
Back to struggling in the championship and moaning about Pardew!
sounds like a crock of shit excuse too, like the situation has gotten any worse over the last 2 weeks in the UK.. derrr... I shan't be going to dubai for my hols now.
As i said this morning, i've been uneasy about this since the aftermath of the original statement.
No one has died, so lets not go overboard.
The signs were pointing to me that this would not have been the best thing for Charlton Athletic as we know it, so with that in mind, i am not sorry it has collapsed.
We must not let this club implode any further though.
On a positive note...
...ah fu*k it I'll leave it to Rothko and Henry to explain how this is all part of Murray's masterplan and that this is the best outcome possible.
As Afka said, no one has died, we have lost nothing as we did not have it in the first place, lets face it people, this club has been throught worse news and survived, Live, Love, Laugh and Be Happy.
Im abslolutely gutted, we are in massive trouble if we dont go up this year. In the past we could have just ditched a few players on big wages and played a load of reserve players as we had a great reserve team. Unfortunately we dont have many decent young players knocking on the door anymore.
'On a positive note... ...ah fu*k it I'll leave it to Rothko and Henry to explain how this is all part of Murray's masterplan and that this is the best outcome possible. '
I would just like to know from any jornos out there i.e Newshopper, SLP if Murray did ask for 80 million quid for the club. as reported on bbc london evening news the evening of the 1st announcement.
Oh lets play Shelvey, Basey and Josh Wright Saturday I cant bare the thought of Ambrose, Bouzza and old man Holland out there.

Zabeel Investments that it will not be proceeding with the proposed
acquisition of Charlton Athletic plc.
Zabeel Investments has informed Charlton that the decision not to proceed
was taken on the basis that its focus moving forward will
be on domestic opportunities in Dubai that complement the current Zabeel
Investments portfolio. This combined with the current debate around
foreign ownership of football clubs and the worsening economic climate in
the UK contributed to the decision of Zabeel Investments to pull out.
Furthermore, Zabeel Investments has made it clear to Charlton that this
decision was not made as a result of any discoveries during the due
diligence process.
Contrary to recent press reports, Zabeel Investments has confirmed to
Charlton that it has not approached any other club since it made an
indicative offer for Charlton Athletic on 10 October, nor has it
authorised any approach on its behalf. In addition, Zabeel Investments
has confirmed it has no current intention to acquire any English football
club for the foreseeable future.
A spokesman for Zabeel Investments said: "Zabeel Investments has the
highest regard for both the supporters of Charlton and the way in which
Charlton is managed and wishes the team every success in their quest for
promotion this season and moving forward."
For the purposes of the Takeover Code, this announcement has been made
with the consent of Zabeel Investments.

No money, clueless manager who we can't get rid of, and we are in danger of freefalling into League One.

The 15 million of the debt is with Murray and Chappel. So it depnds if they want to call in the debt I guess.
