If I was the new manager...

I loved this quote from Mr Pardew's latest interview:

'if I was a new manager, what would I do?' I changed everything around - training, the whole shebang - for the game, and got the reaction I wanted."

If you think about it, that is really rather clever. The sub-text, of which you can be sure he was acutely aware, is "You don't need a new manager because you've got.... the new me!''

Credit to him. It did seem to get the right reaction at Plymouth and long may the 'new Alan' prosper.

But does anybody know what the 'new Alan' actually did? He says he changed "training, the whole shebang" - anybody got any more details?

The team couldn't train all the morning before the Argyle match because it was raining.

So, for once they weren't knackered by 3pm ko
