    If we were mid table and safe that would be a good turnout but in our position its not great.

    However, I cant fault anyone from giving this a swerve going on our away form and coming up to Christmas etc etc.

    I honestly think if we get turned over on Saturday that will be curtains for us already, any belief the players would have would be gone and we'd be 7/8 points from safety with little over half a season left :(

    One thing i would say is that if we have 900-1000 up there with a few hundred empty seats at least there might be a bit of noise.

    Me and 7 others are getting the train up there. Should be a good day out, ground not too far from the station and town centre as well.

    done well to seel 850 in my opinion.....I reckon a 7 seater taxi will be enough for all those going to Boro !

    [EDIT: Dear reader in the future, you probably found the right thread to post something related to Sheffield United but the trend at the time when i posted was to start a separate thread, even though i took time to compose a post with the highlight at the top of the message, a relevant quote, and the source cited, it was a waste of time. So please bear that in mind before posting here, in the correct place.

    May be getting a points deduction, possibly 12 points. High Court hearing tomorrow i think, 19th August 2026;

    Complex, so I just extracted this part from the end of the BBC report today

    "If the High Court chooses to wind up CSBL, then it does present a clear question for the EFL.

    A club's owners could be considered to have moved shares into a new company to leave a sizeable purchase debt in the previous company, and effectively write it off.

    That alone could be considered a breach and result in sanctions from the EFL, and the board could choose to impose a 12-point deduction for an insolvency event.

    Though not a direct comparison, in 2009 Southampton were docked 10 points by the EFL after their parent company went into administration.

    An investigation found the football club and the parent company were "inextricably linked as one economic entity", and applied their mandatory penalty.

    "As the former owners of SUFC, United World does not want to see SUFC facing months of uncertainty that will follow the winding-up order being granted on 19 August," the statement from the former owners added.

    "But in the absence of Eltoukhy and Rosen, both billionaires, agreeing to pay what they owe, we have no alternative but to take all legal steps to protect our interests."

    The next step is the High Court on Wednesday."
