It's not radically differentm, though. It was Curbs' typical midfield that played effectively through his Prem years at Charlton.

It frequently strangled the midfield, closed the game out defensively and created for the forwards.
Everything we are consistantly lacking in performances now.

I bet, in Len's and Ooohaah's wildest dreams, if Curbs came back - that would be the midfield tactics he would impose.
    It works.

IMO he is by far the most talented player we have, may be inconsistent but u wouldn't be in this league if u played as well as he can week in week out, u hav to face the fact that he is probably the best we can get at left mid, Basey is a defender and always looks uncomfortable in midfield, but i would hav Basey takin free kicks and corners as Bouazza has the same problem as JT and every other Charlton winger, can do everything but cross!!!

And if he didn't care surely he would rather leave and get a loan elsewhere, i bet there's plenty of Championship clubs who would have him!!!

Having watched him more recently I do feel he's puttin more effort in and that alongside his obvious talent makes him worth keeping. (Munch munch, the sound of me eating my hat)
