  • Because 20,427 would have been met by the loudest guffaws this season from the lowest number of fans in the ground. If we have 17,000 season ticket holders and less than 427 bothered to come from Coventry, then they are telling us we had 3,000 pay per game fans. Monday's attendance will be the lowest of the season in terms of the official gate as well as the actual gate. Derby will bring more than Coventry but probably not many more than 500. I can't see more tha 500 Charlton fans paying, even at £10, when it's on the box. The actual gate will resemble home games next season if we are in the third division.

    didnt the club offer previous season ticket holders who didnt renew to get in for a fiver
