Too right. You should never let a team score the highest score of the match in the 4th innings but as cfgs says, Sehwags assault turned the game for them.
A typical 'England' defeat. Win 4 of the 5 days and still lose. Didn't have the quality in the bowling and it was so frustrating watching the game float away. Still lots of positives to take away from it. Freddy's and Swann's bowling in the first innings and the batting of Strauss and Prior. We need the likes of Pietersen and Cook to step up to the plate and make some runs...

need to bat until lunch tomorrow at least and let monty and swann spin us to victory HOPEFULLY.
Turning wicket after a couple of days - lot of foot holes for the spinners to hit
In danger of chucking away a good start. Need a good innings from Freddie.
Day two: India 37-3 v England 316
Graeme Swann took two wickets in his first over of a remarkable Test debut as he helped reduce India to 37-3 in the first Test in Chennai.
The spinner was given two lbw verdicts by Australian umpire Daryl Harper, amazingly removing Gautam Gambhir and then India's "Wall", Rahul Dravid.
India were replying to England's ponderous 316, in which Matt Prior's unbeaten 53 was a vital factor.
Spinners Harbhajan Singh and Amit Mishra each took three wickets.
Day two: India 103-5 v England 316
England seized control of the first Test as India slumped to 102-5 in reply to England's patient total of 316.
Excellent, well done the chaps!
India likely to bat after tea.
India need 85 runs.
Which is the better...............
