• In 2006 I worked a full shift on Christmas Day, made an absolute mint!

It's only good when you are a young kid or when watching a young kid unwrap something you brought them. I always tell people not to get me anything but always buy a thing or two as it's better to give than to receive.
•
[cite]Posted By: Ledge[/cite]just found out my nan has been taken into hospice today - she's got lung cancer - was sort of expecting it but they don't give her long so not going to be a great one - will try and enjoy but will be hard.
Sorry to hear that mate,my grandad was taken into hospital last week,we were told in july he has between 6-12 months to live,we are trying to get him home for xmas even if it's just for a couple of days,i just hope he makes it through xmas, but we know it's our last with him.Making sure i take the kids to see him sunday night.Im gutted the Norwich match is not the championship main game as he was hoping to see Joe lead the team out.

• I love Christmas, always have done. Shopping for presents, the build up, the works party, the pint in the pub with my old man on Christmas Eve, the food, the whole thing.

This year will be extra special with our new daughter too.
• NS Steve, perhaps CAFC TV can help?

Maybe worth giving them a shout.
• Oggy good idea, can anybody give me a link ?
• Mum's just had a call from the hospital, they want her to go in and see doctor. My gramp's was seeing a kidney specialist this morning,i think they want him to go on dialysis, which would rule out gettin him home for xmas and mean him being transferred 1 and 1/2 hours away.If ever i wanted 3 points for many different reasons it's tomorrow.
• I used to hate it cos of the family complications we had, love it now though as I can buy pressies for all and have and do whatever I like now with my own less complicated family.
• Showed my gramps a video of Joe last Sunday which cheered him up and went to see him christmas eve on the spur of the moment. He was let out over my aunts for 6 hours christmas day which is what he wanted, but was greeted at the door by my mum when i got back from yesterdays match to tell me he had passed away a hour earlier.God bless you Jimbo.
