To be fair to him - Turner, Marney & Ricketts have been mainstays of Hull's phenomenal success - unfortunately it was under Brown that they developed, as under Parky Hull were hopeless.

    Not forgetting Deon bloody Burton.

We shall see but I beleive in January Charlton will see Deon Burton (Free) becoming permanent and Mootoo & Dickson (2 of the more exciting & young players) being allowed to leave for next to nothing...

Nothing wrong with that, Oakster, to be fair.

He built a promotion side at Colchester on virtually no budget.

And put together the nucleus of someone elses promotion side on a shoestring.

The one thing a manager needs is probably time.
Unfortunately time is not on our side.

I know Oggy - you can see that he knows the lower leagues pretty well, so forward thinking from the board I guess.

He's not the sort of man,as we have seen, that can come in and change things overnight. But then we couldn't afford one of those types. What he did do at Colchester was build a decent side on a shoestring budget that had an incredible amount of self belief.Given time he may just come good.Whether that will be in time to stave off relegation i'm not so sure.
But i've resigned myself to the fact of going out of this league. So anything else would be a bonus for me.

It would be interesting to see where all those players are now.
