Why do Leyton Orient hate us so much?

Just been reading a couple of their forums to get their opinions on the potential fourth round FA cup game (unlikely, but a possibility now). They absolutely detest us, their beef seems to circle around their allocation of away tickets three years ago, but a small minority are actually going as far as to advocate violence against Addicks fans given the opportunity. WTF is that all about? Mind you, in my expirience Orient fans seem to hate just about every other London club and it's fans too, regarding them as not "real" fans unlike them (whatever that means), so at least we're not left out of that.

I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

That said, they could be our regular big derby match soon!

I get stick off a Leyton supporter at work. Odd bunch, live in some sort of fantasyland. Bit like Gillingham too.

Yeah, but Orient f*cked up and just put them on general sale immediately & loads of people missed-out. They then had to beg us for more which we were a little reluctant to give...
...but just like the scousers - it's not their fault for cocking it up!
  • I go to a few of their games myself being a local - none for a while though, they don't care about us one bit and vice versa, probably just a few keyboard warriors getting excited

Good, I'm glad about that. It's bad enough having Gillingham fans on your case, don't need another embarrassment.
  • It's just a case of them having noone to care about... Spurs and Wham fans who can't get tickets for their own sides make up a decent percentage of their home gates, nobody in London cares for them in terms of disliking, to the contrary most see them as a cheery lot, Orient have been trying to have a go at getting something out of Millwall being down in League One with them for the last two seasons but unsurprisingly our spanner friends see trips out East as just a chance to take the p*ss and have a go in West Ham territory.

Southend are the closest Orient get to a rival these days, and Southend are pretty much isolated in the same way so are more than happy to entertain the idea. A few years ago Orient even took an interest in Northampton!

Look where bigging ourselves up with our rose tinted glasses has got us!!!

I know a fella on the staff at Southend and he said the team bus got bricked at Brisbane Rd a couple of years back.

I went to Leyton Orient v Bristol Rovers in the league at the end of last season and was in the away end. I have to say that it was literally the worst atmosphere I have ever experienced from a home end, was just dead (and that says a lot being a season ticket holder at The Valley!).

I remember a tear up with Orient at Anerley station when we was at Sellout!

I remember a poster on here having it with a man mountain called the bear....................LOL!

We drew 2-2 and they beat us at their place 1-0 in the replay..............Nothing changes!!
