Parky's gone for a Burton

So Parky's reinvented the wheel and we now operate a 4-4-1-1 system at home with our sole striker being a cerain Deon Burton. This is the same Deon Burton who has managed 1 ("one" for you olduns used to seeing extraordinary scores on the old BBC Teleprinter) in open play in 26 ("twenty-six") appearances this season.

When Curbs played the 4-5-1 we had a 20 goal a season man as the "1". Burton isn't that and I would repectfully suggest that if he wants to start winning some games he tries playing with two forwards (we all know who some of us would like to see as the other striker) and Jonjo in the hole.

You see Parky a point every other game or three ain't going to keep us up but a win every other might. So, if we're gonna go down, let's go down all guns blazing, eh?

I don't think Parkinson is going to be anything other than a disaster for us. Burton won't be playing up there alone again when Gray is back. Ambrose behind Gray might work.

Wish you hadn't mentioned the old teleprinter:

Aston Villa 11 (eleven) Charlton Athletic 1

    Still haven't got over that.

Waghorn and Burton with Shelvey in the hole would be interesting

I'm sure the three of them would be interested spectators as the rest of the midfield were overrun.....

We can't control possession/midfield with 5 men in their let alone 3 and one pushed right on.

But we MIGHT score more goals than the opposition - especially if we have two sitting midfielders a la Liverpool.
