Andy Gray probably is the nearest one to him although that is not saying much0 -
Rob Elliot so far for me and not just cos we sponsor his shirt. Haven't seen a goal that you can blame him for (if it comes over the wall there is nothing a keeper can realistically do) and has played with confidence and a willingness to try to start attacks when he can. Considering his age, experience and the state of the team's confidence and ability that is praiseworthy.
Unless there is a sudden revival or a wonder signing I can see Elliot or Shelvey getting it this year.0 -

The way it's going it has to be Shelvey. He may have only played a couple of games but it's about doing the best job in whatever time you have. So far pound for pound, he's shown himself to be head and shoulders above the rest.
And he's one of ours.

Josh Wright did very well in both his appearances, must be up there with a shout.
Seriously I'd scrap it for this season and if anyone actually pays to go to the POTY do this season they need shooting. Actually, I'd hold the do, make the players turn up but don't sell any tickets.0
