Just had a look at the next 20 league games and am finding it hard to see us getting that many points. 10 home and 10 away

How many points do we need to stay up? I have had a look at the last five seasons and we will need 55 minimum! Not Good at all! :(

10 wins. 30 points. Should do it.

We will win our next 10 games, easing relegation fears before heading into our annual end of season slump.

the next 20 games cant be worse than the last three months surely. Since the begining of October the senior teams have only had one win ... against Lewes reserves!

We've only won four in the league all season, haven't we? Looking for some almighty turnaround, starting on Saturday...please!

we have Wolves-- Birmingham----Reading to play n chance of a win there. So we have 17 games to win 10 and draw 3 giving us (maybe) enough points to stay up. We did so well against Watford/Blackpool/Saints/Forest/Norwich/Coventry that winning 10 of thse 17 games looks sooooooooooooo easy.

We have Bob Hope (dead) -----------George Hope ( long stopped playing).

The strategic review was just washing the towel prior to the board throwing it in.
  • i love the optimisum, but we aint won in 14 games so how the hell are we gona win 10 games, unless zebel come back back and we buy 11 new players it aint gona happen i will be amazed if we make it to 45 points..

    When we win on Saturday?

Forest - just won 3-0 at Man City, unbeaten in 7 away games, new manager appointed with proven track record in this division and possible point to prove against Charlton. Main goalscoring threats - Earnshaw and Tyson.

Charlton - no wins in 17, just appointed manager with abysmal record in this division on a permanent basis. Main goalscoring threats - Chris Dickson but manager won't play him so Deon Burton and Andy Gray or Scott Waghorn.

We will not win on Saturday.

No point turning up then :-(
  • Going back over the seasons, 50 points may be enough & 52 would give us an excellent chance.

In my humble opinion, we'll end up in the mid 40s.

It's still worth turning up BigRed, Chris Dickson might be on the subs bench! ;-)

Dickson might make the bench on Sat. He's playing v QPR reserves this afternoon, alongside McLeod and Todorov. Logic suggests whoever does the best out of the three of them should get on the bench on Sat...

That's said, sod's law probably dictates that with three strikers playing we'll fail to score a single goal and so Burton, Gray and Waghorn remain unchallenged in the XVI.

Hope you're right Nigel but I think that Parky's written him off already. Really thought with Varney, Todorov, Gray and Dickson that we had a really potent strikeforce at the start of the season but we seem to be in the process of putting together the complete opposite through choice rather than necessity. Seem to be heading back to the pre-Mendonca days when, David Whyte aside, we struggled along with 3 or 4 strikers who were each only capable of mustering 7 or 8 goals a season.

On past form there's nothing to suggest that Dickson will get a spot on the bench even if he does score today.

In fact, I could be really mischievous and offer the theory that Parky is praying as much for Dickson NOT to bag a goal today as the Board were when they appointed Parky caretaker in the hope that a couple of wins before January would make the permanent appointment justifiable.

As I said, I could but I won't, of course.

Just think how depressed we will be if the second half is looked upon in a nother few months as a slump on the first half
