[cite]Posted By: WhenIwasLittleBoy[/cite]This gets worse by the week, what the hell is going on down at SE7............if the board have given up then let us all know now and we will save our money for the rest of the season

I am rather concerned that they are letting us know, WIWLB - but through their deeds rather than words.

(Ducks in anticipation of a scathing Henry Irving attack.)

But I just rang the club and they say he is definitely staying as we've bought him from Fulham for £2m. Don't tell anyone as it's not on the OS yet

[cite]Posted By: Valley11[/cite]At least he has the ability to turn it on though northstandsteve
He must be our top goal scorer and poss our top goal creator??

Jerome Thomas also has the ability to turn it on but like Bouazza, does it very very rarely, and even less so nowadays.
  • Perhaps we could borrow JT from Pompy -he is still there isn't he?!

he is not the answer we need some passion in our side and fighting spirit ,yes he has ability but at this moment in time its a luxury we cant afford if he stays hope he can prove me wrong.

If you want 11 Matt Holland's then we will stay bottom of the league.

I'm not criticising our stand-in skipper, every team needs its fair share of grafters.

But without genuine quality to deliver a telling pass (Bouazza's ball to Shelvey for the opener against Norwich) or a killer finish (Bouazza's goals against Sheff Utd and Birmingham) then we're doomed.

As I say, if the player is forcing the move then good riddance.
But if it is us looking to cut the wage bill again - for a player that won't be here next year anyway - then that imho is madness.

Who do people want on the left then?

"he is not the answer we need some passion in our side and fighting spirit"

This is the same type of arguement given when people wanted Steve McClaren to replace Sven.

Fighting spirit does not necessarily make a good player.

valley 11 i didnt say fighting spirit makes a great player , and yes he does have ability just wish he would put it into practice more often and from wot i can see at the moment he just isnt doing it ,and 1 great pass doesnt make a good player either.

And it seems you've given them up for the New Year, too, Henry.

Mind you, there's not much to smile about, is there?

Yeah, how many out and out wingers can be described as hard working and passionate? Robinson always put in plenty of effort, but was a different player to someone like Bouazza, Sam or Thomas.

Sir Henry to you young man. I was knighted by the old Queen, don't you know

As Weegie says, quite correctly, what's to smile about?

  • all i can say is this is what happens if you rely on too many loan players. still, lets bring in some more who can sod off in a month eh.

haven't exactly got massive cover on the left wing as it is..

IMO opinion he is the only real creative talent we hav, and if we get rid of him I beleive we r only digging ourselves into a deeper hole!!!

This is what it says under Bouazza's player profile on the Fulham O/S:

"Injury restricted the winger last season and Bouazza was loaned to Charlton Athletic FOR THE DURATION of the 2008/09 season."

So what are the rules and regulations under which they can recall him from a season-long loan - particularly when it is merely with a view to shipping him out somewhere else?

Birmingham have just signed Scott Sinclair on a month's loan - not sure they'd want to ineffective wide midfielders? ;-)

Does that mean that we have to switch from "God, this club is crap, it can't even hold on to players like Bouazza" to "God, this club is crap we can't even get rid of players like Bouazza"

    Confused, you will be.

    good move on two counts.

    1. They won't want Bouazza now, so although i'm no real fan, i do think we actually need him at the mo
    2. It stops Sinclair going back to Palace, who were keen on him.

I think he's been OK. I wouldn't be too unhappy if he went were we to sign somebody better, otherwise I'd like him to stay.

Why haven't we gone for him. I know we're in a relegation battle, but he could stay in London and did well for Palace last season. Sort it out Parkinson.

i gather that is tongue in cheek cos he was toilet for us if not
