I'm not sure you self-styled 'realists' and 'we are already down' Gloomsters are going to like our new signing, Graeme Murty. He definitely goes against the grain and, of course, he doesn't know what he's talking about.

Murts speaking on the OS:

"All it takes is that win. Once you get a win, you can go out and get two and when you get two, you can get three. These things build and build, and you have to make sure that when opportunities arrive, you are ready for them and are ready to react to them in the right way."

And you all think I'm bonkers ........?

;o)

Well against Derby it was 2 seconds away, against QPR it was 2 foot away, so what's your point. If we had lost every game by 3 or 4 goals then I could understand the statement, but the fact we've taken the lead in some of those games, drawn some of those games and been unlucky to lose at least 2 or 3 of them means we must have been close to winning at some stage during those 17 games.

Well, RandyAndy - a story behind your username, perhaps ...? ;o) - your post shows how close we've come to a win; also add 20 seconds to the Plymouth Argyle match too, and that for long spells we played Birmingham off the park in their own back yard. The bald statistics don't always tell the story, but of course that doesn't compensate for not putting wins on the board ....... as the Gloomsters will enthusiastically point out.

Two sides to everything, of course - and if you look for encouraging signs, you will find them.
Despite what the resident manic depressives will have you believe.
