    sad ending,never allowed to come home,and when finally granted died on ship.very humble man but a leader of men.

    possibly the man who"invented" a weapon of mass destruction and wasnt afraid to use it !

    He received recognition during his lifetime but history seems to have forgotten him somewhat. Nelson saw him as a hero and thought very highly of him.
