Me and the chaps from work are planning a night out in London and, not having been let off the leash for a while, we are looking for something splendid.
Looking for quality restaurants and a cool bar - maybe for a spot of celeb spotting (or maybe even something geared towards "gentlemen")

few of my regular haunts.
for gentlemen clubs, you have stringfellows.. but better ones to be found bit further out 'Browns' not far from old street and 'The Phoneix' are cheap and cheerfull ;-)
I went to Gauchos recently and the food was amazing and it was at a decent price too. Certainly not in the 'Credit Crunch Munch' category, but at the same time, The Ivy it ain't!.
Don't think you'll see any Celebs in there though.
As for 'Gentlemen Venues', I've heard through friends of friends (honest, *ahem*), that Browns on Old St is a laugh (allegedly)...
Not that I'd know =/
venus on farringdon rd
metropolis - cambridge heath rd - bit out of the city but meant to be top gents club
oops club - alie st just off aldgate
mayfair club - dover st w1
angels in wardour st
secrets - eversholt st (euston)
spearmint rhino - tottenham court rd
the windmill - gt windmill st - off shaftesbury ave
The Ivy in West St - just off charing cross rd mostlikely celeb or langahms in stratton st just of Picadilly (green park end)
No idea about money - I'm ok with whatever.
I guess maybe £50 a head for good meal with a coupld of drinkies
Then I guess drinks cost whatever they cost - £3 or 4 a drink isn't it
Great beers and wines...quite reasonable price wise too.
I would recommend "Electricity Showroom" http://www.electricityshowrooms.co.uk/index.asp
There is always a good mix in there and plenty of ladies.
If all else fails then jump in cabs to "The Empire" (Casino) at LS great laugh with a bunch of lads if you dont go mad.
More like £100 per head for decent meal plus wine in Goucho.
City is crap at night, especially Fridays. It is still a lunchtime place, you're much better off West End.
