i was just wondering about anything that might possibly change our league form/luck tomorrow. Been thinking about wearing an old shirt to the game and in view of recent comments from some about wanting their old charlton back, i was going to have a sort out.

im thinking of wearing the oldest charlton shirt that i own, to bring back memories of times gone (not all successful). mine is an eighties blue away shirt with 'woolwich' as sponsors.

does anyone else going fancy wearing an old shirt to get an old charlton theme going for fun? if so what have you got (and does it still fit you)??

Ive tried it already...each game Ive listened to, Ive worn an old shirt to see if I could change our luck :-(
  • just dug out the home and away "woolwich" kits and I can still get in them comfortably, so I will be wearing the red one and when my 19 year old gets up I am gointg to try and persuade him to wear the blue one, although I am fighting a losing battle as he wore my new long sleeved home kit to Norwich, so I imaging he will have it on again!

I hope to see some old kits today, my fav is the "paul sturgess" away kit with the green and purple stripe on white backgeound!

My oldest is the 1987-8 adidas red woolwich kit. But its a youth size and I cant get into it! Its such a cool shirt!! If anyone on here fancies selling or swapping that old adidas 87 kit I would be very interested!

You can't wear an old blue 'Woolwich' away kit at Sheff Weds - that would be a real 'owler.......(!)

    ;o)
  • I moved property in the late 90's, and gave all my shirts (H & A) to Mr. Cartwright at the Valley then.
There was every shirt from 86 til 99 in the box; its probably floating around the Valley somewhere still.
If found, please donate to the first person who wants them.
