If you go the country route to Brighton, the below pub should not be missed:
The White Hart
Ardingly Road
West Hoathly
(almost oppsite the entrance to Ardingly showground)
ps not sure if the Brighton thing was a jokey reference to next season!?0 -
No, definitely not a joke, cheers, is this near the south/sussex downs?0
-
There is the Witch - in Haywards Heath, owned by ex-Brighton/Ireland midfielder Gerry Ryan.

It's been a while since I was last there, but was pretty good then.0 -

Would be just north of the Downs - about 20 miles from Brighton.
(They have a website if you google it.)0 -
Cheers all for the advice, went to Bognor a couple of summers back for someones b/day party, the sat nav the other half used took us the scenic route over the downs, stunning drive, would like to do it again enroute to Brighton.0

Does pear cider actually exist? I know they advertise that St Helier stuff in and around The Championship on ITV, but I always thought pear cider was perry? Or am I getting confused with Perry Suckling?0 -
It does, had some in Brighton at the pre season friendly, much to Goonerhaters amusement.0

LOL..... it's only your own insecurities picking it up mate0 -
I thought Perry was cider actually made from real pears.
And Pear Cider is a concoction of chemicals - minus the pears.......?
;o)0 -
I did notice that most of the people drinking it had `tashes , leather trousers and peaked caps, thats not realy true there was one guy dressed like a builder another was dressed like a red indian chief and another as a motor cycle cop.0
