Things starting to go our way ?

edited February 2009 in General Charlton
For once the ref was on our side on Saturday
Barnsley play midweek , we don't and so should be fresher come Saturday
Swansea replay at Fulham in midweek, we should be fresher again plus their disappointment at being knocked out
Dickson finally given a start, a plus point in itself
Soares staying for another month

any more ??

OS said that Soares wanted to stay and that we wouldn't know whether or not he could until after the weekend. Fingers crossed!

Stoke City boss Tony Pulis is happy for midfielder Tom Soares to extend his stay at Charlton Athletic.

“I understand Charlton want to keep him and I have no problem with that,” said Pulis, “because we’ll now have a 24-hour recall on him anyway if we need him back here.

Apparently he’s done smashing down there and that will do him the world of good.”

Good to see he's keeping him an eye on him!

Just seen that Doncaster won 6 of their last 7 after looking dead and buried. So there is still hope for us yet.

    Exactly, BRE!

Even though they've been bottom 3 for most of the season, Doncaster have been a decent enough side, with last year's promoted team desperate to prove themselves at a higher level.

What they've lacked is a regular goalscorer - and when you don't win regularly, player confidence begins to slip away, as we've seen for ourselves at Charlton.

Now Doncaster have got some results, they now believe they can go out and win a match - and they are now stringing results together.

Can we do the same? Why not, we're not playing Arsenal or Man Utd - but we do need to win the 6 pointers.
That was always Lennie the Legend's and Curbs' philosophy. And it might yet save our bacon.

Football is a confidence game, it's played in the head as much as with physical ability.
If you believe you can, you can.

If you believe you can't ..... well, you might as well quit.
