State of the Nation(s)

edited March 2009 in Not Sports Related
I've just completed a business trip with my new company lasting 8 days starting in Droitwich
and taking in Glasgow and then a long haul back taking in Preston.
Main Observations; particularly on having a few night out with Dutch colleagues in our engineering business.

1. The Chavification of Great Britain is finally complete.Hooded herberts in Novas are everywhere.
2. The further North you go the less the wimen wear to go out in, except in Glasgow where
some class is still exhibited
3. Burton Upon Trant is a timewarp to 1970's
4. The beer in the North is not better than the south
5. Long distance driving is an absolute 'kin nightmare with average speed cameras everywhere.
6. Never think of moving to Dumbarton
7. The cold wind of recession is blowing strongly

  • But, was it worse than Woolwich?

P.S Thanks for the heads up on Dumbarton - I will bear it in mind.
P.P.S I don't know where northerners ever got the beer thing from - there is no finer beer than Kentish ale anywhere. Most beer up north tastes like watered down 'smooth' pish; no taste at all.
