    Big difference between "cash problems" and "cash-flow problems". Hopefully it was the latter and the recent shuffle has eliminated the issue.
    Is there? Surely if there was a problem (and I'm very much not in the know) then it's not like when you transfer a player that you have to turn up with a big sack of cash and hand it over (at least now Arry, Tel and George are out of the game). It's not a corner shop.

    How often have you seen him? Probably improved as a player if several clubs are looking at paying that sort of money for him.

    I don't know what our transfer budget is, but assuming we don't have millions to burn, I don't see us blowing over a million on a centre back!

    I've heard the cashflow situation has improved & we may start to see a signing or two. However the famous 5 were right & there were/are issues.

    I've got a feeling we won't be seeing any signings until next week. Unlike many on this site I am happy to disclose my sources. The man who speaks to me from my laptop after I press the special secret switch that appears to turn it off.

    Without wishing to waste time on a wild rumour, the likes of Bentley would only come in (I believe) if the board went over Sir Chris's head as, although a marquee signing for this level he would unbalance the squad and I doubt he would find it easy to work as part of an aspiring championship team, again at this level. Also, I'm sure there are prem sides that would be more than happy to take Bentley - he was considered England first choice material not very long ago.

    Mind you they said that about Alan Smith hahahahahahahaha
