I'm just not that sure about them to be honest, will probably listen again, but there not as good as Editors, who in turn aren't even fit to lick Interpol shoes.
Excellent album and superb live. Because of his voice they sound quite a bit like Teardrop Explodes. Going to see them for the third time in May :-)
I am not big on the Editors, can see the similarities but the White Lies are much much better imho. (also worth downloading is the Filthy Dukes remix of To Lose My Life)
Not really that bothered by White Lies i saw them do a couple of songs at the NME big gig which was probably not the best place to see them. Not sure about Filthy Dukes either has anyone got there album?
[cite]Posted By: Clem_Snide[/cite]Prefer Interpol even more. Even though I wasn't overly hooked by their latest offering. Antics is a great album.
isn't that their only good album?
I love Interpol, great band, great albums that seem to have no bad songs on them. However I've seen them play live twice, once at the forum in Kentish Town and once in Wellington, New Zealand and they were poor. I should have just stayed at home both times and listened to them on my stereo - that's how much presence I felt they had. Just my opinion.
seen them a few times, but they were awesome at Brixton last night - I thought The Specials would be my gig of the year but The White Lies last night was the best gig I've been to for a few years :-)
Good band, just not sure whether they'd be a bit boring to go and see live. Think I'll go next time I get the chance. Did they play any new stuff Salad? Saw Kasabian on Saturday and Arctic Monkeys on Wednesday - both brilliant- especially Kasabian.
RR- they rocked! Good use of lighting and smoke etc. too.
Looks like someone might have tickets for tonight on scarlet mist ...
No new stuff really, they did a couple of 'old' b-sides which are good .... Taxidermy which is great and 'You Still Love Him' - plus they started the encore with Talking Heads' 'Heaven'
Saw them in Bournemouth on Wednesday night, had only heard a few songs and went cause my mate knows the keyboard player and we got free tickets. They were awesome, had a fantastic night and will definitely be buying their album.

Editors are the biggest ripoffs in Music.
Turn On The Bright Lights (1st album) is also very good. The 3rd album isn't bad just not as good as I'd hoped it would be.
